3D Printing

At the back of the electronics lab, we have a small 3D printing room. We currently offer the following 3D printers:

  • Ultimaker 2 Go: Great for small, fine, and precise prints. It also unfortunately suffers from quite some stringing due to its age.
  • Anet A8: An all-around stable printer that is good for medium-precision printing. It's only drawback is the rather slow speed for today's standarts.
  • Modified (Volcano HotEnd) Creality CR-10: Seriously fast, but also suffers from poor precision due to its large nozzle. It's great for printing larger parts that don't require fine detail.

We mostly print PLA, but occasionally also use PETG and other types of filament.

If you would like to 3D print something, please consult one of our members first. Our printers are not the newest and are somewhat fragile, so they require regular maintenance.

Donations

As a non-profit makerspace, we rely on donations to keep our lab running. If you use our tools or components, we appreciate any donation you can leave to help us continue improving.
